The Sony A7 III is a widely used full-frame all-rounder and remains a sound choice for weddings, travel and everyday photography. Three things matter: a 24.2 MP full-frame sensor with 693 phase-detection autofocus points, 5-axis in-body stabilisation rated at 5 stops, and a battery good for about 710 shots per charge. It shoots at 10 fps and records 4K at up to 30p in a 650 g body. Its successor, the A7 IV, raises resolution to 33 MP and adds 4K at 60p, while the A7 III keeps the edge in battery life.
