How are you? I have another new (old) photo for you, which I’ll describe in the post below.
What about you? Do you have any photos for me? 🙂
Exploring the idyllic surroundings of Lake Jasna (Jezero Jasna) in Kranjska Gora
My latest new (old, as I’ve had it for a while but haven’t posted it on the blog yet) photo is once again from the surroundings of Kranjska Gora, Slovenia. In this photo, you can see Lake Jasna (Jezero Jasna). Although my photos might make it seem like I live in the center of Triglav National Park, I actually live on the other side of Slovenia. However, these places are the most beautiful <3 in the world to me, which is why I take so many pictures of them.
If you missed some of my photo moments from Kranjska Gora and its surroundings, in previous posts I wrote about:
Bike Park Kranjska Gora
Bike Park Kranjska Gora is a popular tourist destination for cyclists and adrenaline lovers in Slovenia. It is located in the picturesque alpine valley of Kranjska Gora, near the Slovenian-Italian border. The bike park offers trails for different levels of experience, from beginners to professional cyclists.
The park also offers a chairlift for the transportation of cyclists and their bikes to the top of the hill, where there are numerous downhill trails of varying difficulty levels. In addition to riding the trails, there are also many other activities that can be done, such as taking a scenic train ride, hiking, cycling on the surrounding hills and mountain paths, and many others.
Bike Park Kranjska Gora is open from spring to autumn and is known for its well-maintained trails that are suitable for all types of cyclists.
Zelenci
Zelenci, located in the municipality of Kranjska Gora, represents the source of the Sava Dolinka River, which emerges from a deep lake with a green color. The name of the source derives precisely from this distinctive color. It is a natural reserve that is home to many endangered animal and plant species. But what lies in the depths of the lake? Porous chalk at the bottom allows groundwater to flow into the lake in the form of small fountains, which represents a unique phenomenon in Slovenia.
The water in the lake has a constant temperature of around 5–6 °C. When the water leaves the lake, it pours into a channel and spreads out to the east into a shallow marsh that is one kilometer long and 200 meters wide. The riverbed of the Sava Dolinka River appears at the location of Podkoren, at the foot of the Vitranc mountain.
Alright, enough chatting. The photo shows Lake Jasna (Jezero Jasna), my favorite lake in Slovenia
Lake Jasna is an idyllic lake located near Kranjska Gora in Slovenia. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the region due to its crystal-clear turquoise water and stunning views of the Julian Alps. During the summer, you can also swim in the lake, but only the bravest ones 🙂 as the water is really cold.
You can also rent a stand-up paddleboard, kayak, or canoe and enjoy the views. There are also restaurants and cafes located around the lake where visitors can enjoy coffee or lunch with a beautiful view. Lake Jasna is an ideal choice for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and relax in nature.

Conclusion: Let’s preserve nature
It is important to care for our planet and preserve the natural beauty that it offers. All the described destinations, such as Bike Park Kranjska Gora, Zelenci, and Jezero Jasna, are excellent examples of how nature can captivate us with its unique beauty and provide numerous opportunities for active leisure. Therefore, it is crucial that visitors take care to preserve these places for future generations and respect the natural environment as well as the animals and plants that inhabit it.
